Banyak orang mengatakan bahwa Pancasila adalah ideologi bangsa Indonesia, yang secara umum dapat diartikan sebagai kumpulan gagasan-gagasan, ide-ide, keyakinan-keyakinan, kepercayaan-kepercayaan yang menyeluruh dan sistematis yang menyakngkut dan mengatur tingkah laku sekelompok menusia tertentu dalam berbagai bidang kehidupan. Namun, kini seolah-olah pancasila kehilangan ruh yang meleket didalamnya sebagai ideologi Negara. Keberadaan pancasila seharusnya menjadi pagar yang dapat membatasi perbedaan masyarakat dan kini seakaan pancasila tiada gunanya dalam kata lain rapuh dan tak berdaya menghadapi perbedaan yang ada.
